ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, in 1965, Hamilton Aguiar discovered his passion for creating at an early age. After moving to the United States in his twenties, he continued refining his artistic practice, developing a body of work distinguished by exceptional craftsmanship, technical precision, and a deep respect for the history of art.
Working from his Miami, Florida studio, Aguiar creates paintings and sculptures that reflect years of disciplined study and exploration. Hamilton’s work is unique. His work spans seascapes, landscapes, florals, abstract compositions, and sculptural forms, demonstrating remarkable versatility across a variety of mediums. Whether working with subtle chromatic transitions or bold contemporary color palettes, he has an exceptional ability to create the illusion of depth, light, and movement.
Aguiar’s work is informed by careful study of many of the great artists who came before him, while remaining distinctly his own. His compositions reveal a mastery of technique, meticulous attention to detail, and an ongoing curiosity to explore new materials, forms, and visual languages.
